Man fatally shot in northeast Dallas, suspect in custody, police say

A man was fatally shot in northeast Dallas on Tuesday evening, police said.

Officers were called about 6:45 p.m. to the 8600 block of Park Lane, near Fair Oaks Avenue, where a shooting had been reported. The victim was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead.

Police said a suspect was in custody. Neither the victim’s nor the suspect’s name has been released.

Authorities had not determined a motive in the shooting and were continuing to investigate.
