General Secretary Pakistan People’s Party, New York, Raja Assad Parvez has resigned

NEW YORK, Sept. 19 — General Secretary Pakistan People’s Party, New York, Raja Assad Parvez has resigned from his post due to the dictatorial behavior of the party’s newly nominated president for the United States.
In his resignation letter, sent to the party’s central leadership, Mr. Parvez wrote that due to the dictatorial behavior and actions of the recently nominated President PPP, USA, “I am unable to continue to work with him. So, I am hereby resigning as General Secretary, PPP, USA, with immediate effect.”
But he also said that he was “a by-birth PPP Jiyala” and it’s in his “blood to be faithful to the central command of the party.”
He assured the party leadership that “this love and affiliation will never end” and he would continue to do whatever he could to promote the party and its cause.
On Friday, a group of senior PPP workers informed the central leadership that the nomination of incompetent and unpopular people on party positions had split PPP, USA, into two factions.
They noted with concern that this was a devastating blow to the party structure in the US, as most of these appointments were based on personal liking and nepotism of the overseas committee.
They reminded the party leadership that the newly installed US President has held no party office in the last 20 to 30 years. Some of other office holders and state party chairs were selected during the committee’s visit to the US a few months ago in return for undue favors.
They pointed out that the appointments of relatively unknown people in New York, Washington, Texas, New Jersey, Alabama, California, Florida, and Georgia had unsettled party workers and supporters.
They also pointed out that 70 percent of the old leadership in New York was uneseated while unfamiliar people were inducted in other states as well.
