Police searching for man accused of attempted auto-theft at Sugar Land daycare

Police are searching for a man accused of attempting to steal a car at a Sugar Land area daycare.

A pre-teen girl was in the vehicle when the man allegedly attempted to steal it while her mother was inside the Kids ‘R’ Kids Learning Academy of New Territory daycare in the 8200 block of Homeward Way Friday morning, according officials with the Sugar Land Police Department

The man reportedly stole some loose change but was unable to start the vehicle or locate a purse. The girl was unharmed, police said in a Facebook post. 

The suspect, described as a black male with a bandana on his head, was last seen leaving in a grey Dodge Durango.
