Fatal crash in southwest Houston caused by underage driver, reports say

A fatal crash that killed a man and his dog Thursday afternoon was caused by an underage driver, according to local media reports.

Various media outlets reported the female driver to be either 12 or 13 years old. Police said the crash was first reported at 4:25 p.m. in the 6000 block of Beverly Hill Street near Fountain View Drive

It’s unclear why the girl was behind the wheel. No other information was available Thursday night.

Police confirmed the fatality but offered no details.
