Patchy dense fog possible Friday morning

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Moisture levels are on the rise, and that means two things for Friday: Patchy dense fog and a chance for rain.

A dense fog advisory is in effect for parts of southeast Texas until 9 am. As the fog thins out, there will be enough moisture for a 30% chance of a passing shower. Otherwise expect more clouds in the sky and highs back into the upper 70s.

Moisture levels will drop a little bit over the weekend, but there will still be enough for patchy fog and isolated showers. You can expect lows around 60 and highs around 80.

Our next cold front looks to arrive Sunday night or Monday morning, bringing a round of scattered showers and seasonal temperatures to kick off Thanksgiving week. We expect two more cool fronts to impact us next week, one before Thanksgiving (Tuesday) and one right after Thanksgiving (Friday). Both fronts could bring a few thunderstorms.

At this time Thanksgiving Day looks to be dry and pleasant in Houston with a low in the 50s and a high in the 70s.
