21-year-old arrested in fatal West Dallas shooting on Christmas morning

A 21-year-old man was arrested in the shooting death of a 38-year-old man Christmas morning in West Dallas, police say.

Junior Gebremariam faces a murder charge in the death of Brigido Cisneros after a shooting at a 7-Eleven, police said.

Officers were called about 3:30 a.m. to the convenience store in the 5900 block of Singleton Boulevard, near South Walton Walker Boulevard, where they found Cisneros wounded in the chest.

Police said surveillance footage shows that a verbal exchange occurred between Cisneros and Gebremariam. Gebremariam is a 7-Eleven employee who had a handgun that he used to shoot Cisneros multiple times, police said.

Gebremariam was arrested at the scene, police said. He is being held at the Dallas County jail on a $250,000 bond.
