Teen suspect arrested in shooting death of 29-year-old man, Dallas police say

Police arrested a 16-year-old who is suspected in the death of a man who was found fatally shot inside a northeast Dallas apartment.

Officers responded to a call about a possible dead person at about 4 p.m. Sunday at the East Town Apartments in the 6400 block of Melody Lane, south of Park Lane.

They found Dangelo Roane, 29, inside an apartment with a gunshot wound. Dallas Fire-Rescue pronounced him dead.

Neighbors told police that they heard possible gunfire about 11 p.m. Saturday.

On Wednesday, police arrested a teenager who is suspected of killing Roane. His name was not released because of his age.

The suspect was interviewed by a detective at Dallas Police Headquarter and then taken to the Henry Wade Juvenile Justice Center, police said.
