20-year-old man gunned down in apparent road-rage shooting in Rylie, Dallas police say

A 20-year-old man was gunned down Thursday night in an apparent road-rage shooting on Lyndon B. Johnson Freeway in Rylie, Dallas police say.

Officers were dispatched about 7:40 p.m. to the freeway’s Haymarket Road exit ramp, where they found Reginald Jeffery inside his car with a gunshot wound.

Jeffery was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead.

Police said the motive appears to be road rage.

Witnesses reported that a dark-colored SUV may have been involved, police said, but a suspect has not been identified.
