Teenage boy killed, man wounded in Rylie shooting, Dallas police say

A teenage boy was killed and a man was wounded in a shooting in the Rylie area of southeastern Dallas on Monday, police say.

About 11:15 p.m., officers were called to Methodist Dallas Medical Center, where police say two people — a teenage boy and a man — suffering gunshot wounds had been brought in private vehicles.

The teenager died at the hospital, while the man was deemed stable. Their names and ages were not released.

Police determined the shooting occurred in the 1900 block of South St. Augustine Road, just south of LBJ Freeway.

No additional information about the shooting or possible suspects was immediately available.
