The University of Houston has reported a natural gas leak in the vicinity of the stadium parking garage, leading to the closure of nearby roads

In Houston, Texas, the University of Houston has announced the resolution of a natural gas leak reported near the TDECU Stadium parking garage on Holman Street Monday morning.

The university alerted about the gas leak via X, formerly known as Twitter, shortly before 9 a.m. By approximately 3 p.m., officials confirmed that the leak had been cleared. They further stated that Holman Street, which had been closed off from Scott Street to Cullen Boulevard, was now safe for entry.

Additionally, all entrances and exits to the stadium garage and lot 15c have reopened as per the update provided by officials.

During the incident, students and staff were advised to steer clear of the area. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

The cause of the gas leak remains unclear, and authorities did not issue a shelter-in-place order.
