Authorities are searching for the individual responsible for fatally shooting a man in what appears to be a road rage incident in Northeast Harris County

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a fatal road rage shooting that occurred on Saturday night in northeast Harris County, as per officials.

The shooting took place at the underpass located at the 5200 block of Aldine Mail Route at Eastex Freeway. However, the specific details leading up to the incident remain undisclosed.

Sheriff Ed Gonzalez shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, that it appeared a road rage altercation prompted a driver to exit his vehicle and approach a vehicle behind him. Subsequently, an individual from the second vehicle shot the man before fleeing the scene.

The injured man was rushed to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead, according to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.

Authorities discovered a 1-year-old child in the victim’s vehicle. Fortunately, the child was unharmed and was later reunited with his mother.
