Similarly, the Texas Department of Public Safety conveyed their thoughts and prayers to Deputy Coddou’s family, emphasizing their solidarity with their local partners at HCSO.

The FBI’s Houston Field Office also offered their condolences, expressing sorrow for the loss suffered by HCSO and Deputy Coddou’s loved ones.

Harris County Constable Mark Herman’s office paid tribute to Deputy Coddou, offering prayers for eternal peace and expressing solidarity with his family, friends, and colleagues.

The Houston Police Officers’ Union shared in the grief, describing Deputy Coddou’s passing as a tragedy and offering condolences to his family, friends, and coworkers.

Even law enforcement agencies outside of Harris County, such as the Edinburg and Pflugerville ISD Police Departments, stood in solidarity with HCSO, expressing condolences and offering support to Deputy Coddou’s family and colleagues.

While details about Deputy Coddou’s family were not extensively discussed by HCSO, the nonprofit 100 Club announced their intention to financially support Deputy Coddou’s surviving wife with a $20,000 check, urging the public to contribute to the 100 Club Survivor’s Fund to assist the families of officers and firefighters who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
