Suspect in custody after Fort Worth shooting leaves 1 dead, another seriously hurt

Authorities are currently investigating a shooting incident in Fort Worth that resulted in one fatality, another individual fighting for their life, and a third person taken into police custody on Tuesday evening.

Fort Worth Police were dispatched to the 2400 block of Irion Avenue at approximately 5:35 p.m. following reports of gunfire in the vicinity.

Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered two individuals with apparent gunshot wounds.

One of the victims, whose identity has not been disclosed, was pronounced deceased at the scene, while the other victim was transported to a nearby hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.

According to law enforcement officials, the fatal shooting is believed to have occurred in an alley behind a building.

Authorities confirmed the apprehension of a suspect without any resistance.

Homicide detectives are currently conducting an active investigation into the circumstances surrounding the tragic shooting incident.
