2 hospitalized after South Dallas shooting, police say

Two people were wounded in a shooting in South Dallas early Sunday morning, police said.

Officers were called about 2 a.m. to the 5200 block of South Lamar Street, near C. F. Hawn Freeway and South Central Expressway. When they arrived, they learned two victims were taken to hospitals by private vehicles.

Police did not know the victims’ conditions Sunday morning, and no suspect information was released.

Detectives from the non-fatal shooting team were notified about the shooting, police said.
