Man shot and killed inside car while leaving motel in north Harris County, sheriff says

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) — Investigation is underway after a man was shot to death inside his car while attempting to leave a motel in north Harris County, authorities say.

According to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, an unknown gunman opened fire on the man in a parking lot in the 1400 block of Cypress Creek Parkway.

The victim, believed to be a man in his 20s, was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

It is unclear what caused the shooting.
