Investigation underway after child is attacked by dog in Fort Worth

A routine visit to a family’s residence in Fort Worth turned harrowing when a child was bitten by a dog on Saturday afternoon.

Responding to an investigation call, officers from the Fort Worth Police Department arrived at the 9000 block of Carroll Cabin Way around 2:33 p.m.

Upon reaching the scene, authorities discovered a child with apparent injuries from a dog attack. Paramedics promptly transported the child to a local hospital, although the current condition of the minor remains undisclosed.

Fort Worth Police stated that the dog involved belonged to another individual who was visiting the child’s family at the time of the incident.

The police department has engaged Crimes Against Children and Animal Cruelty Detectives to investigate the matter.

As of now, no arrests have been made, and there are no reports of any other injuries.
