Foxtrot closes all coffee shops permanently and plans to file bankruptcy

On Tuesday, April 23, 2024, Foxtrot, a retail store and coffee shop chain with multiple locations across the United States and four in Dallas, unexpectedly ceased operations during normal business hours.

All four Dallas stores have closed indefinitely, with the company announcing its intention to file for bankruptcy protection.

Employees were notified via email on the morning of April 23, 2024, that their employment would be terminated effective immediately. They were instructed not to report to work on or after Wednesday, April 24, 2024, unless specifically requested.

In a statement posted on its website, the company expressed regret over the closure, stating that despite exhaustive efforts and good faith attempts, they were unable to find a viable solution to sustain the business.

Foxtrot entered the Dallas market in 2019, opening locations in Uptown and University Park. Their fourth Dallas location, on Lower Greenville, opened less than a year ago.
