Downtown restaurant employee accused of putting genitals in food, charged with child porn: records

Three weeks after an incident where a restaurant employee was arrested for allegedly placing his genitals in jelly, he faced another arrest, this time on charges of possessing child pornography.

Othello Larenzo Holmes, 27, has been charged with five counts of possession of child pornography after investigators from the Harris County Precinct 1 Constable’s Office discovered numerous images and videos depicting children under the age of 10 on his phone.

Holmes is currently detained on bonds totaling $500,000 after being arrested for the second time on Thursday morning.

Constable Alan Rosen expressed deep concern during a news conference, describing Holmes as a predator and the discovered content as disturbing.

The initial incident occurred on April 5 at Kulture, a restaurant near the George R. Brown Convention Center, where a manager reported a video showing Holmes, then a cook, engaging in the act. Holmes admitted to the act and disclosed to investigators that he frequently experienced such urges and sought help.

Although initially charged with a class B misdemeanor, Holmes consented to a phone search, leading to the discovery of child pornography. Rosen emphasized the severity of the content found, including graphic images and videos depicting infants and young children being sexually assaulted.

Holmes was identifiable in some of the images, and investigators identified five different videos featuring child victims under the age of 10.

Kulture management promptly terminated Holmes following the incident, asserting that it was an isolated occurrence and taking measures to ensure the safety of patrons.

Investigators suspect Holmes may have traded child pornography and are seeking further information regarding potential victims. They urge anyone with relevant information to contact the Precinct 1 Constable’s Office.

In response to the arrest, Kulture issued a statement detailing the swift actions taken to address the situation and emphasizing their commitment to maintaining a safe environment for patrons and employees. They terminated Holmes’ employment and enhanced security measures at the establishment.

The investigation remains ongoing, with authorities exploring potential connections to other incidents and seeking additional evidence.
