Woman fatally struck by car in Fort Worth on New Year’s Day, police say

Police are asking the public’s help in identifying the suspect of a fatal hit-and-run on New Year’s Day in Fort Worth.

Police said a woman, whose identity has not been released, was fatally struck by a car shortly before 6:30 p.m. Saturday while she was crossing the road near the 2900 block of Main Street, just south of Long Avenue in Fort Worth.

The driver of the car, a four-door Nissan, left after the crash, according to police, who said the front of the vehicle was severely damaged in the crash.
